Can I rent the YMCA for a business or family function?

Yes, YMCA facilities are available for rent. For more information call 547-5307.


Can I hold a Birthday Party at the YMCA?

The YMCA staff will organize and run your party and supply the party decorations. For an additional fee, we can provide theme decorations.
Parties are on Sat. from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. with swimming and games included for children up to age 10.
Refreshments are up to you.
Fee: $70.00 for 10 children, each additional child will be $6.00.

Do you have babysitting available while I'm working out?

BABYSITTING SERVICE:
(Newborn to 8 years)Children under the age of 3 are limited to 2 hours.

    Day Care Monday & Wednesday:
    8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
    Tuesday & Thursday:  8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and 4:00-9:00 p.m.
    Friday:  8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
    Saturday:  8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.


Can anyone use the Fitness Center/Weight Room?

The Fitness Center is available to members age 14 and up. Members under the age of 14 may be admitted with prior approval of the Program Director after completion of the Goal Setters program.   (See Youth Section)

I'd like to use weight equipment, but don't know how. Can you teach me?

Not sure how to use the equipment? Call 547-5307 to schedule an appointment.


I'm out of shape, but don't know what exercises are best for me - where should I start?

Private Fitness evaluations that include cardiovascular, strength, flexibility, and body composition (lean body mass and body fat percentage) are available. Call 547-5307 and ask for Cherie.


When do I register for classes?

Registration is accepted between the hours of
9:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and
9:00 am - 12:00 pm on Saturday.

The Belvidere Family YMCA sill be closed the following dates:
May 30, 2005 - Memorial Day
July 4, 2005 - Independence Day
Sept. 5, 2005 - Labor Day




What if I have to cancel a class I signed up for?

Program refunds will be granted for the following reasons only:
1. Medical excuse from a doctor.
2. Class cancelled by the YMCA.
No refunds or make-ups for Holidays or weather related cancellations.
